Headlands Included in CNN's 'Can't-Miss' Beaches List
Ohio's longest public beach on Lake Erie was listed by readers as one of the country's can't-miss beaches.
Headlands Beach State Park earned some national recognition in a CNN special report.
CNN.com listed it in a photo gallery, "20 More Can't-Miss U.S. Beaches." Headlands didn't make the original, similarly named gallery earlier this month, but was included in a second gallery based on reader submissions.
"Ohio's longest public beach on Lake Erie is surrounded by Headlands Dunes State Nature Preserve, a haven for migrating birds, monarch butterflies and rare dune flora," reads a caption for the beach in the gallery.
CNNMoney named Mentor one of the nation's best places to live in 2010 and 2008.
