Harlem Legends Return To Mentor For United Way Fundraiser

The Legends will take on the Lake County All-Stars with the proceeds going to the Society for Rehabilitation

The Harlem Legends will face the finest in Lake County but, regardless of score, the winner will be the Society for Rehabilitation.

The Legends, including members of the original Globetrotters, will play an exhibition game against the Lake County All-Stars Feb. 9 at Mentor High School.

The All Stars will include Mentor High Boys Basketball Coach Bob Krizancic, Principal William Wade, Mentor Municipal Court Judge John Trebets, News-Herald Publisher Jeff Sudbrook and more.

The Lake County team will be coached by Mentor Schools Superintendent Matt Miller.

The evening's festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a high school 3-point shootaround. Then the Legends will take the court against local celebrities at 7:30 p.m.

The event is organized by the United Way of Lake County, Mentor Schools and Society for Rehabilitation with the profits going to the society.

The Society for Rehabilitation is a nonprofit charity that offers physical, occupational and speech therapy to the physically disabled.

Tickets cost $10 for general admission, $20 for VIP seating and $35 for family admission, which is good for two adults and three children.
