Group to Investigate Paranormal Activity During Tours in Mentor

The chance for Mentor residents to see if evidence of ghosts and spirits exists in their community has returned.

In conjunction with the city, the Mentor Ohio Paranormal Research Society will provide a few tours this weekend and next month to record electronic voice phenomena, which can lead to evidence of paranormal activity.

The organization also has late night tours for those who don't mind getting even spookier.

Here are the tour times and locations:

Friday, July 12, at Mentor Lagoons

  • 9:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.
  • 12:30 to 3 a.m.

Saturday, July 13, Mentor Municipal Cemetery
  • 6:30 to 9 p.m. (Children's tour)
  • 9:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.
  • 12:30 to 3 a.m.
The same times and locations will apply to tour dates Aug. 16 and 17. October dates will be announces in the near future.

"I encourage them to come on an investigation with us and let what happens be the proof," MOPRS lead investigator Dale Vokurka once said about naysayers.

Tickets are $15 for Mentor residents and $20 for non-residents. People are encouraged to show up 20 minutes before tour times. The tours go on, rain or shine.
