CATERPILLAR FUN

Where/When: at Great Lakes Mall, Saturday at 11 a.m.

Why Go: This storytime features Eric Carle’s classic The Very Hungry Caterpillar and a caterpillar craft.

Pricing: Free.

STORY-WRITING CONTEST

Where/When: , all day Saturday.

Why Go: Exercise your imagination and create a story about “A Night at the Library.” Bigger kids can write a story, littler ones can draw a story. Winners will be announced during National Library Week (April 10-16).

Pricing: Free.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Where/When: Holden Arboretum, Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: All kids love pancakes! Take a hike while you’re at it and work up an appetite or burn off some calories.

Pricing: Members: $10 adults, $6 ages 4-10, under age 3 free. Nonmembers: $15 adults, $10 ages 4-10, under age 3 free.

Where/When: Bada Bing Pizza, Painesville, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Why Go: Kids ages 6-11 are invited to see what it takes to make pizza and to create their own.
