Why Go: Kids in the Mentor Public School district are invited to participate in this free track meet. Register onsite on Friday.

Where/When: Lake County Speedway, Saturday. Grandstand opens at 4 p.m., racing starts at 6 p.m.

Why Go: Who knows how valuable those John Hancocks might be in a few years?

Pricing: $10 adults, $5 kids and seniors.

Where/When: Mentor Public Library, main branch, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

Why Go: Kids can learn the ins and outs of being safe around dogs from a certified dog trainer.
