Get Out: Wine, Cheese & More Delicious Tastes

This will be a good weekend for epicureans with several tasty events to choose from

Where/When: Ferrante Winery in Geneva, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Why Go: Meet winemaker Nick Ferrante, enjoy appetizers and tasting of six different wines. Attendees also receive a ticket to a show at Geauga Theater.

2. WINE AND CHEESE NIGHT HIKE

Where/When: Holden Arboretum, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday

Why Go: Enjoy a leisurely hike in search of night sounds and animals followed by a selection of wines, nonalcoholic beverages, fresh fruit and gourmet cheeses.

Pricing: $25 for members, $35 for nonmembers

3. LAST STOP WILLOUGHBY

Where/When: Point Park in Willoughby, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday.

Why Go: The day is jam-packed with an outdoor market, a parade, the Taste of Willoughby restaurant contest, movies, music and much more.

4. ART IN THE PARK

Where/When: Veteran’s Park, downtown Painesville, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Why Go: It’s a chance to check out (and hopefully buy) various forms of art created by local artists and others. There’s also storytelling, food, music and a kids’ painting contest.

Pricing: Free entry

5. DOC’S DEEPWOOD RUN

Where/When: , 11 a.m. Sunday.

Why Go: Help those with developmental disabilities and get in the drawing to win $10,000.

Pricing: $5 beforehand or $10 the day of the run. Raffle tickets are $50.
