Get Out: UFOs, Pugs & Vino

The area's biggest wine festival and a party for pugs are both happening this weekend

Where/When: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lakeland Community College’s Mooreland Mansion.

Why Go: Five outstanding graduates of the college will be honored for making a difference in their communities.

2. VINTAGE OHIO WINE FESTIVAL

Where/When: Lake Metroparks Farmpark, 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Why Go: Taste exceptional regional wines, enjoy some of the area’s best musical talent, sample a range of fine cuisine and watch a fireworks display on Friday.

Pricing: $25 for adult taster in advance; $27 for adult taster at the gate. $10 for designated drivers.

Why Go: Bring your pug for contests and prizes and enjoy dog-friendly businesses from the area.

Why Go: Thomas Wertman, chief field investigator for the Mutual UFO Network of Ohio, will talk about UFO sightings in and around Ohio and his involvement in UFO investigations.

Why Go: If you haven’t been training, it’s too late to participate, but maybe watching these athletes will motivate you.
