Babypalooza!

Mentor Public Library is expecting Babypalooza! to arrive on Saturday, May 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Expectant, hopeful and new parents, as well as growing families with children ages zero to tween, are invited to attend the big event. 

The program is designed to help parents and families tie into to local pregnancy, birth, adoption and parenting community resources. In a family-friendly environment, attendees can speak with health representatives about pre and post natal women’s health issues, what to expect in a baby’s first five years of development, childcare, home school, yoga for pregnant women, fire and home safety, midwives and nutrition.  

Brief presentations on various topics of interest and a MPL Tiddlywinks story time will be held at the program.There will also be door prizes from local businesses. Registration begins May 5.

Some of the organizations involved are the Mentor Fire Department, Awaken Yoga, Dr. Crystal Schneider of Dental Specialists of Lake County, Lake County General Health District, Lake Health, Lake County YMCA, Mentor Public Library, Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, Case Western Reserve University, OSU Extension Service, Starting Point Northeast Ohio, Well Child Clinic, home school organization and WVIZ Ideastream.
