Check Out Garden Night at Old Village Market Days

Mentor's Beautification Commission, Tree Commission and more will have special displays at this Friday's farmers market

The city of Mentor's next Old Village Market Day will feature some of the finest in flora as it celebrates local gardens and landscaping during Garden Night.

The farmers market will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at 

It will feature special displays from Holden Arboretum, Herb Society of America, Mentor Beautification Commission and Mentor Tree Commission.

Additionally, several vendors will be selling locally grown produce and flowers, as well as arts, crafts and food.

The Market Days are all free to attend. Visitors can check out the market and tour the park's grounds, including President James Garfield's home, for free.

Also, the market will feature balloon artists, face painters and musicians for the children's entertainment.

Garden Night is the penultimate Old Village Market Day. The weekly farmer's markets will conclude Aug. 19 with a celebration of the sesquicentennial anniversary of the Civil War.
