Animal lovers can adopt a pet mouse from Lake Humane Society for $5

Each week Adopt-a-Pet features a different animal from that people can adopt.

While Adopt-a-Pet has focused on cats, dogs and rabbits, those are not the only companion animals available at the shelter.

For example, Rico is from a litter of more than a dozen mice, all of whom are available for adoption.

Rico and his siblings are all about a month old and can be adopted for $5 each.
