University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center to “Paint the Mall Red” on February 22 for American Heart Month
Free event offers cardiovascular assessments and education at Richmond Town Square Mall
Richmond Heights, Ohio – For American Heart Month, University Hospitals (UH) Richmond Medical Center, a campus of UH Regional Hospitals, will “Paint the Mall Red.” This free community event will take place on Saturday, February 22 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Richmond Town Square Mall, 691 Richmond Road in Richmond Heights. Hosted by UH Richmond Medical Center and Simon Property Group, Inc., the event will feature a wellness presentation, cardiovascular health screenings and a variety of fun activities.
Paint the Mall Red will have a UH Richmond Medical Center pharmacist available to answer questions about medications and a dietitian to provide tips on healthy eating. Hospital clinicians will offer preventive assessments including:

At 11 a.m., Paint the Mall Red will feature a special presentation – “Blood Pressure and Cholesterol: The Newest Recommendations and Healthy Practices” – by Noah Rosenthal, MD, Medical Director of Cardiovascular Medicine, UH Richmond Medical Center.
“I’ll discuss the newest recommendations for cholesterol and blood pressure from the American Heart Association and Eighth Joint National Committee on Hypertension,” says Dr. Rosenthal, who is also Co-Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, UH Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute at UH Richmond Medical Center. “I will cover what all of us should do to achieve ideal levels and how the new recommendations change our perspectives on the management of blood pressure and cholesterol.”
