Hammers, stamps, and rolling mills… oh-my! Join us for a playful morning exploring various techniques to make surface textures in metal ranging from the bold and dramatic, to the subtle and elegant. Make lasting impressions you can use to enhance your own inspired creations. This fun and interactive workshop will involve many brief demonstrations and lots of hands on sample making using hammers, stamps, a rolling mill and more. This class is limited to eight students. Tools will be available for use. Comfort with a gas fueled torch is helpful, but all levels are welcomed and no metalworking experience is required (ages 16 and up)

Flux Metal Arts is an art studio offering classes and workshops to students in the greater Cleveland area. In addition to its classes and workshops, it sells supplies and tools not typically in stock at craft/hardware stores; such items include bezel wire, silver solder, jewelers saw blades, nonferrous sheet metal and finishing accessories. It offers open studio sessions to artists, allowing them to develop their works in a professionally equipped environment. The open studio time is available any time a class is not in session and can be paid for by the hour, by the day or in monthly unlimited packages.
