Join Mentor Marsh Naturalists on&n bsp\;our Sunday hike to learnmore about the natural history of this inva sive plant.\nMentor Marsh Sunday hikes are offered every Sunday\, April- October from 2-3:30 p.m. and begin at the Mentor Marsh Nature Center at 5185 Corduroy Road\, Mentor.\nOn Sunday\, August 12\, we will explore Ph ragmites\, &ldquo\;The Alien Grass Among Us&rdquo\; that is the dominant plant in Mentor Marsh and other local wetlands. Learn about the towerin g reed grass-Phragmites at this program. Does any wildlife use it? Are t here any other uses of this plant? How can it be controlled? Our hike wi ll take us on the Wake Robin Trail&rsquo\;s boardwalk to get a close up view of this invasive plant and view results of stewardship work at Ment or Marsh.\nMentor Marsh Nature Center programs are family friendly and a ll are invited.
