More About Mentor High School
Mentor has the eighth largest high school in the state. It can be found in the same development as the 1,500-seat Fine Arts Center, which the entire district uses, and the Jerome T. Osborne Stadium, where both Mentor High and Lake Catholic play football.
The 2010 senior class had a 97.4 percent graduating rate, of which 58 percent went to a 4-year college, 27 percent went to a 2-year school, and 6 percent went to the military or a technical school.
Mentor High School offers several extracurriculars, academic, artistic and athletic. Sports include, but are not limited to, football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, golf, swimming and diving, competitive cheerleading, track and tennis. Students can also participate in band, drama, show choir or clubs for skiing, photography, video games and anime and academic challenge.
Each Mentor High graduating class averages 60,000 hours of community service. Its principal is Joe Spiccia.
