Doc's Deepwood to Raise Money for Those With Developmental Disabilities

Doc's Deepwood Run has raised about $400,000 for people with developmental disabilities in the last 14 years

Doc's Deepwood Run will return for its 15th year; and there's still time for bikers and sponsors to sign up and raise money for those with developmental disabilities.

In the last 14 years, the motorcycle run has raised about $400,000. The money helps those with developmental disabilities by paying for activities or equipment that improve their quality of life.

The 15th run will begin 9 a.m. Aug. 26 at Deepwood. The prize drawings will be at 11 a.m. and the first bike will head out 30 minutes later

Bikers can participate by buying a $10 ticket beforehand or $15 ticket the day of the run.

People can also buy raffle tickets -- $10 or three for $25 -- that will give them a chance to win an iPad2, romantic spa packages, Browns tickets with a limo ride, 50-inch screen TVs and more.

People need not ride in the run to buy a raffle ticket.

To ride in the run, buy a ticket or be a sponsor, visit the website for Doc's Deepwood Run or call 440-946-4023.
