Shockwave -- the penultimate performer in the city of Mentor's summer concert series -- took the stage last week at Civic Center Park and they weren't giving it back.

They rocked and rolled and put a little soul in it.

If you missed the six-piece funk/soul band's show, then we offer you this snippet as a consolation.

Remember, the concert series comes to a close Tuesday with a show from Chance, an incredible 10-piece show dance band plays everything from Sinatra to Motown and more.

They will perform a pair of free shows starting at 7 p.m. at Civic Center Park's amphitheater.

Visitors should bring blankets or lawn chairs and a picnic dinner to the concerts.

The performances will be moved indoors to the Civic Ice Arena if it’s raining.
