Fairfax Principal Stephen Heller finds himself in a sticky situation for the United Way of Lake County.

Fairfax Principal Stephen Heller has done a lot of things to raise money for United Way of Lake County at his school.

He's thrown karaoke parties, let the kids wear pajamas or hats, and even taken a few pies in the face.

But sometimes a pie in the face isn't enough.

Heller capped a 2-week fundraising campaign, which raised more than $1,500, by letting his students duct tape him to the wall of the gymnasium.

Students paid $1 each for the privilege.

"Even though they're young, I think the students have a pretty good grasp on giving and the importance of giving back," Heller said. "For the past nine years at this school, our culture has been about being there for people in need and making someone's day. The parents, teachers and students are immersed  in that culture and it's right in line with United Way of Lake County."
