What makes people think a FIRST-TERM senator who spent most of that FIRST-TERM running for another office, knows anything about overseeing the world's largest economy?
The last 4 years have shown Obama has been in over his head for 4 years. If you want a stronger economy with lower unemployment with more jobs, VOTE ROMNEY/ RYAN.

Keith, you provide an excellent reason to avoid voting for Josh Mandel. Thanks for making it clear.

Not to mention his behavior in regards to following the law just as everyone else must do.

Hi, Keith, this site is about local unemployment rates. There are plenty of other stories about the upcoming presidential race. Please do not hijack this one. And, yes, I've noticed you have posted this exact same comment in several Patches across the country. Please do not spam. It doesn't help the candidate you support.

Jason are you kidding? Everything in this economy is related to the presidential race right now. If not, the big Huff wouldn't be pushing stories of such minimal change and making them out like they are huge news. It's left propaganda in heavy R area. I mean .2% of a percent change?? Give me a break.

Joe, I write a story on the unemployment rate in Mentor every month, whether it goes up or down. Neither "The Big Huff" nor the presidential race was the impetus for this story.

Regardless of your political affliation, lower unemployement is always a good thing. Untill unemployement is 0% you are never going to have each side of the ballot happy.
Thanks Jason for posting these numbers. It is important to see how our area is doing.

oh Jason, its positive news for sure and appreciate the update. but, to say that in an open forum that Patch allows, someone should not make reference to upcoming election when the subject of that said story has direct impact on that election is just not logical.

I agree. The Repubs are quick to use the economy as a lightning rod. Every time I see one of their ads or hear the rhetoric I think about how Mentor is doing. There are job postings everywhere, sold signs on houses, new businesses opening, and our roads/highways are getting repaired. I saw none of this under Bush. It is political.
