The Mentor Schools Foundation will hold its annual art auction from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight at Gallery One.
Students from all of the schools in the Mentor district have created pieces of art that will be auctioned to raise money for the foundation.
This year the auction's theme is Harmony Through Art.
Tickets for the auction cost $20 and include beer, wine, appetizers, desserts and the opportunity to bid on art work created by Mentor students.
For tickets, contact Nancy Williams at 440-255-4638 or Mary McGuinness at 440-749-1732.
Proceeds from the auction will go to the Mentor Schools Foundation. The foundation, in turn, supports the school district via grants that pay for classroom equipment, programs and field trips that the district could not afford otherwise.
A recent grant helped buy new equipment for the Cardinal Autism Resource and Education School.
The Mentor Schools Foundation started in 1985 and, since its inception, has given more than $120,000 in grants to the school.
