Media reports show President Barack Obama focused on the differences between his views and those of Republican candidate Mitt Romney during his trip to Cleveland earlier today.
Obama focused on the economy and job creation during his speech at Cuyahoga Community College. Here’s a round-up of some of the coverage from local and national media:
- The Plain Dealer: Obama focused on the economy and received a standing ovation at the mention of his support for federal intervention in the auto industry.
- The Associated Press, via Huffington Post: Obama told potential voters that Romney would cut both taxes and regulations.
- Tri-C’s The Voice Newspaper: The Voice has a variety of photos and videos from the event, including comments from people who attended.
- Politico: Politico takes a hard look at the speech, calling it “an extensive rebuke” of Romney’s agenda. Obama did not announce any new policies, and expressed support in investing in schools.

Actually WE should.
But, of course, the usual wingers are silent on Congress doing absolutely nothing -- and planning to do absolutely nothing -- until AFTER the Election.
If the very ignorant who love to bash BHO (for example) at every chance they get (but then again, I laugh at how borderline-retarded some people are) blame him for everything, when it's the inaction going on in Congress that is actually doing THE most damage.
But, this is the current agenda of the Republican Party today: keeping the economy bad (just like they allowed to happen during the last 18 months of GWB administration) just to get BHO out of office.

The house has past over 100 bills that are all stalled in the senate including the 2012 budget (ryan) so it is the opposite the congress is passing bills but the democratic senate refuses to put them up for a vote

Obama's decision on illegal immigration is a terrilbe precedent. The constitution is a sacred balance of power between the executive, legislature and judicial branches of government. Every President swears an oath to uphold the constitution. Part of the President's responsibilities is to enforce the laws as enacted by the legislature. If a law is unconstitutional it is adjudicated by the supreme court. If a law needs to be changed it is done through an appropriate process. To ignore a law and say this one will not be enforced by the executive branch is an attrocity. To do so to get the support of certain voters is a terrible precedent to our democracy. This decision is reckless. I agree that the immagration laws need reform but this approach is not the way to acheive this reform. Even i did not know how dangerous Obama is, but this shows me a side of his judgement that would undermine the constitution as he has with this political move.

I couldn't agree more!! just one more attempt on the part of Obama to rule by fiat. IF we as American citizens do not pay attention, we will soon lose ALL our rights! OUr government was set up as "government of the people, by the people, and for the people" not as a dictatorship. A year ago Obama said he didn't have the power to do what he did on Friday. What has changed? does Obama really think that the hispanic population is so unwise that we will be fooled? This Latina will vote for Romney.... he may not be quite as charismatic as Obama, but he certainly appears to have much more respect for our laws, our constitution, and the fact that we have 3 separate but equal branches of government. Congress writes the laws, NOT the president! As far as I'm concerned, Obama cannot be gone fast enough!

The economy will come roaring back if we elect Romney/ Ryan. Business is waiting for this election to remove uncertainty. Face it, Obama is an excellent campaigner, a great orator, but that is all he knows. That is why he is a failure as president. Hope and Change did not work.....you know it, I know it.
Time for another change, to someone who actually knows how to run things....MITT ROMNEY!

Can someone please tell me why I would even consider voting for Romney...and because he is not Obama is not reason enough. I still do not understand what his plan is for the US economy--I'm not sure he does either. His views on outsourcing are not pro-America. His views on healthcare are vague at best. His inability to put together a consisten story on what his presidency would look like scare me the most, however.
I can not tell you if I fully agree with Romney's plans or not...he has not been able to fully articulate what they are.

Go to Romney's website and read. Stop listening to the Obama rhetoric machine. Focus on the following: government entitlement programs must be reformed so they remain affordable and solvent. We need to reduce the size of the federal government.
Middle class tax cut and raise taxes on wealthy by eliminating deductions for wealthy. I will lose some of my deductions as they will be limited. Create certainity wth clear tax policies and leadership so companies start hiring. Reduce the deficit which is 175% of GDP including state and local debt including unfuded pensions. Increase pressure on Iran and greater support for Israel. These are highlights. Read read and turn off Chris Matthews.
