More than 100 special-needs students from Broadmoor School, Lake Education Service Center, Riverside, Mentor, Willoughby-Eastlake, Perry High schools and LEEP gathered Friday evening at Lakeland Community College.

Its coffee shoppe, Breakers, was transformed into an enormous aquarium for the event.

Students dressed in prom finery, posed for professional photos and danced through the evening.

Several students from county schools volunteered to help at prom and serve as dates.
