FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK
Where/When: Mentor Public Library, 11 to 11:30 a.m. Friday.
Why Go: Get the little ones (5 and younger) and their parents grooving at a special musical story time hosted by Jennifer Woda from Sing and Swing.
Pricing: Free
Where/When: 7 p.m. Friday at Mentor High School
Why Go: It’s the Cardinals’ home opener and it’s against Youngstown Ursuline.
Pricing: Advance tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students. All tickets are $6 at the gate. Reserve tickets are $8
Where/When: Classic Park in Eastlake, Friday and Saturday after the Lake County Captains games.
Why Go: See the biggest fireworks displays in Captains’ history. In addition to the center field display, fireworks will be show from the scoreboard in right center field and off the Classic Park roof.
Pricing: Tickets start at $9.
Where/When: Classic Park in Eastlake, 7 p.m. Friday.
Why Go: Watch the game and the historic fireworks display (see above) and then stay for a family campout and movie in the outfield.
Pricing: Tickets are $17 and include a game ticket, post-game snack and breakfast.
Where/When: Mentor-on-the-Lake, 1 p.m. Saturday.
Why Go: The parade steps off from Rice Elementary School and ends at Mentor Beach Park. A trophy ceremony follows at the park.
