Moms Talk: What Is Your Most Hated Chore?
Cleaning dishes? Folding laundry? Dusting? What chore would you rather live without?
Each week the Mentor Patch Moms Council answers a question on parenthood posed to them by readers or another member of council.
This week's question: What is your most hated household chore? What is the one you would much rather enlist the children/husband/anyone else to do?
Donna Milnes:
My least favorite chore is dusting. Not because it is hard but because it is so redundant. Dust in the morning and it is back by lunch.
I would much rather do chores that show a completion like folding clothes, painting walls, cutting grass, etc.
Renee Ochaya:
Hands down -- my least favorite chore is cleaning the bathrooms.
Fortunately, the blue toilet bowl cleaner has always been interesting to my kids and they actually like to clean the bathroom.
Kimberly Jones:
My least favorite chore would have to be folding clothes after they come out of the dryer.
I do not mind washing them, but folding is not my favorite. I will have my daughter or husband fold them.
Devone Lansing:
I think I hate cooking more than cleaning. I'm just not that interested in it. I'm not a terrible cook, but I don't enjoy it at all.
I'm happy that my girls like to experiment in the kitchen; I'm going to turn the cooking over to them as soon as they are old enough!
Mary Jo Stack:
I think my least favorite chore is cleaning out the refrigerator.
Cleaning out all the old food items, wiping out the fridge -- yuck. Then there is cleaning the containers from the left over food.
Gloria Kilfoyle:
The chore I hate the most is to empty the dishwasher, and I am from the era when I can remember not having dishwashers.
Cleaning out the refrigerator comes in second.
I think I would like to live I the Downton Abbey time and have maids, cleaning ladies and butlers.
