Mentor Public Library to Host Comic Book Art Tutorial

Graphic Novelist Del Borovic will help teens and tweens draw their own comic book and manga art Wednesday at Mentor Public Library

Are you crazy for comics? Mad for manga?

Graphic novelist Del Borovic will be teaching teens and tweens how to draw sequential art 6 p.m. Wednesday at the of Mentor Public Library.

Borovic, a graduate, has penciled, inked and colored independent comics. Now she will share her expertise with kids who dream of doing the same.

First, she will lead a discussion on how to best use the comic page to tell a story. Then they will talk about how to find and hone their own style.

Finally, with Borovic's guidance, the kids will draw a page of their own life story.

Like most programs at Mentor Public Library, Borovic's class is free. However, you will have to register beforehand. To do so, call 440-255-8811 ext. 221.

More than 25 kids, from ages 11 to 19, have already registered for the program.

Some supplies will be available at the library but kids are encouraged to bring their sketchbooks.
