The annual Summer Concert Series returns to the Civic Center Amphitheatre behind Mentor City Hall this summer.
The free outdoor concerts will go from 7 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday from tonight through July 31.
This year's performers are:
- June 19 – Doo Wop Kingz – All your favorite hits from the 1950s sung beautifully in 3-part harmony.
- June 26 – Arrival – Take the “Journey” with this amazing classic rock tribute band.
- July 3 – Pop Tarts – Your favorite 60s girl group songs, as sung and danced to by four energetic gals.
- July 10 – Driven – Dance to music, ranging from country to rock to disco and more.
- July 17 – Replay – You’ll love listening to the hits from the 70s as played by this superb horn group.
- July 24 – Shockwave – A six-piece funk/soul band with a repertoire that includes tunes from Motown mainstays, funk grandmasters and even Joe Cocker and Jimmy Buffett
- July 31 – Chance – This incredible 10-piece show dance band plays everything from Sinatra to Motown and more.
The concerts are sponsored by several area businesses.
Visitors should bring blankets or lawn chairs and a picnic dinner to the concerts.
