Mentor City Council to Consider Road Repair Bid

The regular council meeting begins at 7 p.m. tonight

Mentor City Council will consider an ordinance tonight that would award a contract to a Northeast Ohio company for the remainder of the 2013 road repair program.

If approved, Stow-based Karvo Paving Co. would receive the contract for an amount not to exceed $702,268.80. According to a memo from city engineer David A. Swiger, Karvo submitted the lowest bid amount.

The work to be done includes resurfacing on several streets, including Munson Road, Market Street, Blackbrook Road and Hart Street. The final completion date is Sept. 27.

The meeting begins tonight at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
