You've heard plenty about President Barack Obama's visit to Mentor and the Cardinals' home playoff game. Now, check out what else is going on in the city this weekend.
Where/When: 7289 Mentor Ave., 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., every day, beginning today.
Why Go: Northeast Ohio residents and visitors from all over have stopped at other Melt locations for years. Now the restaurant is in your backyard. The menu boasts more than 30 gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, as well as burgers, appetizers and microbrews. If you've seen Melt's sandwiches on shows like Man V. Food but never visited locations in Cleveland Heights, Lakewood or Independence, you now have the chance to see if it lives up to the hype.

Where/When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Lake Catholic High School
Why Go: Proceeds from the 29th annual Craft Fair benefits the Lake Catholic Performing Arts Boosters. The event features handmade and franchise jewelry, kitchen items, soaps, blankets, Christmas decorations, purses, wallets, artwork and more. Attendees can also enter a 50/50 raffle.
The kitchen will offer cheesy potatoes, pizza, chili, hot dogs and items from Chick-fil-A. The Performing Arts Boosters support transportation, refreshments and pictures at events for several Lake Catholic groups throughout the school year.

Where/When: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, throughout the city
Why Go: Children will have waited an extra four days to show off their costumes and get some candy in the process. Severe weather from Hurricane Sandy halted the annual event, but Sunday will give kids the chance to say three of their favorite words to participating neighbors — "Trick or treat!"
