Man Accused Of Trafficking Marijuana
Police say they found four baggies of marijuana hidden in suspect's underwear
A man is accused of drug trafficking after he was found hiding four baggies of marijuana in his underwear, according to the Mentor Police Department Facebook page.
Mentor Police arrested Rajohn Golden and Layton Bronaugh, both of New York, after an officer stopped their car on Interstate 90 early Wednesday morning.
Initially, Golden and Bronaugh were both charged with drug abuse because an officer found marijuana in the car, according to MPD's Facebook page. Police also confiscated money they found in the car.
However, after Golden was arraigned in Mentor Municipal Court Wednesday, four baggies of marijuana were found hidden in his underwear.
Consequently, Golden, 21, was also charged with a felony count of marijuana trafficking and arraigned again Thursday morning.
Judge John Trebets set his bond at $20,000, which was not posted. Golden's next court appearance is scheduled for April 19.

Sounds like the police officers and jail staff need some re-training on locating contraband and weapons

But it's the jail staff that ultimately located the contraband.

To RMullenax - I don't believe I read anything about an overlooked weapon in this article, and never before have I witnessed a strip search being conducted on the side of the road. The officers check for weapons, secure the prisoner (handcuffs) and take them to the lockup where they are screened more thoroughly. Since prisoners are handcuffed from behind, it would have been next to impossible for the guy to remove the marijuana from his skivvies until he was searched at the jail. Instead of criticizing the officers, I think they deserve a pat on the back for their good observation skills.
