1. Let's start with good news -- the best news, actually.
Erin Potter -- an 8-year-old girl from Kirtland who is fighting her third occurrence of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia -- had one of her wishes fulfilled Tuesday when she met pop star Justin Bieber during a concert in Chicago.
It was a moment that was a long time coming -- a moment that might have never happened had it not been for a lot of people who care about Erin, including some who have never met her.
The movement caught the attention of some good Samaritans who gave the Potter family Bieber tickets for a Chicago show.
In addition to enjoying the concert, Erin and her family got to meet Bieber and have their picture taken with him. You can see the photo (and read more about Erin) here.
2. A doctor with a history of substance abuse was arraigned on a charge of deception to obtain a dangerous Tuesday in Mentor Municipal Court.
John Brownlee, 46, of Highland Heights, is accused of trying to scam tramadol -- a pain killer -- from the Kmart in Mentor on May 30, according to court records.
Brownlee is being investigated by the Lake County Narcotics Agency. He turned himself in Tuesday, was arraigned and released on a personal bond.
Brownlee has been censured by the State Medical Board of Ohio before for his drug use, according to documents on the Ohio License Center's web site. (The aforementioned documents have been attached to this story as a PDF.)
