Joe the Coupon Guy Presents Trouble with Time Warner and This Week's Deals

Joe the Coupon Guy still makes time to find you deals while warring with Time Warner

Joe the Coupon Guy is all about making lemonade from lemons and Time Warner's cable service handed out some citrus last week.

Follow his recommendations to get some money back.

1. TIME WARNER

Deal: Did you experience problems with your cable this past week?

I did. The picture on the screen would freeze and then it would come back on. Some of the frozen faces were comical. Yet, it was annoying.

And annoying enough for me to call them up to request a credit. They credited my bill $4.12. Not a ton, but enough to make me feel better and get a free Big Mac.

Someone else told me they got more than $7 back. The longer the outage you report, the larger the credit. Call them at 1-877-772-2253 to get your credit.

They had the gall to pimp their bundled service on the call. Yeah, like I’d want to get their overpriced broken service with my Internet and phone calls, too. And the funny thing, there was a recorded message stating that their billing services were down, too.

2. VINTAGE OHIO

Deal: Pay $14 for one ticket to Vintage Ohio Wine Festival (up to $27 Value) which is August 5th and 6th at Lake Metroparks Farmpark in Kirtland. Now that deal is a good reason to drink and be merry!

3. STARBUCKS

Deal: If you'd rather drink coffee, Starbucks is offering half off on the Frappuccino blended beverage of your choice until Sunday. Also, click here to print some Starbucks coffee coupons.

4. XTREME AUTO WORKS

Deal: Here are some of the deals available in the JB Dollar Stretcher from the Mentor repair center:

  • get $20 off any service that costs more than $100
  • only pay $17.95 for an oil change and tire rotation
  • pay $120 for front brakes, pads and rotors service
  • get a free oil change with any service over $100

5. MENTOR COMMONS SHOPPING CENTER

Deal: There was a flyer mailed to homes for stores located in the various Commons malls on the east side. That includes Mentor Commons.

With the flyer, people can enroll at Fitworks for 15 cents or get $3 off at Best Cuts.

Thank you for the tip about Time Warner. I tried that another time but they denied me.
