Garfield, Gardens & Sinatra: A Weekend Planner

1. THE GREAT BIG HOME & GARDEN EXPO

Where/When: 1 I-X Center Drive, Cleveland, OH, Feb. 4 through 12

Why Go: Beat the winter blues at the Great Big Home & Garden Expo, which runs Feb. 4 through 12 at the I-X Center.

Lush landscapes and gardens by local landscape companies, showcase homes made and decorated by local firms, and the latest home products will give you inspiration for a year's worth of home improvement and garden projects.

Celebrity appearances include Chip Wade of HGTV's Curb Appeal, Bryan Baeumler from DIY Network's Disaster DIY and House of Bryan, Matt Fox of Around the House with Matt & Shari, and Fahrenheit chef Rocco Whalen, who recently appeared on the Food Network show Fat Chef.

Pricing: $14 at the door, $11 online, $10 for seniors, $9 group admission, $5 for children; $8 for parking

2. MAMA ROBERTO'S DINNER THEATRE WITH FRANK SINATRA

Where/When: Mama Roberto's Pizza & Pasta, 6:30 p.m., Friday

Why Go: Enjoy a full dinner -- does Mama Roberto's serve anything less? -- and Michael Sonata as Frank Sinatra this Friday.

Celebrate Valentine's Day a little early with food, fun and Sinatra.

Pricing: $30

3. FATHER-DAUGHTER SKATE

Where/When: Mentor Civic Ice Arena, noon, Saturday

Why Go: Dads and daughters (ages 3 and older, please) can have a fun afternoon together on the ice. The festivities include games and activities, the opportunity to get your picture taken together and each girl will receive a gift

Skaters will also get a chance to meet the rink's new mascot, Mischief.

Lunch will be served followed by ice skating.

Pricing: $10

4. BEHIND THE SCENES TOUR AT GARFIELD HISTORIC SITE

Where/When: James A. Garfield National Historic Site, 11 a.m., Saturday

Why Go: The "Behind the Scenes" tour includes a visit to the basement, servants quarters and third floor of the home, along with an inside look at the windmill and 1870’s barn—areas not visited during regular tours.

The tour is about 90 minutes and begins at the Visitor Center. Reservations are required. Participants must be 16 years or older.

Pricing: $15

5. WORLD WETLANDS DAY AT MENTOR MARSH

Where/When: Mentor Marsh, 2 p.m. Sunday

Why Go: Celebrate World Wetlands Day at Mentor Marsh. Explore wetlands displays at the Nature Center and then take a hike in the wetland.
