Grow up -- it's a safety net for those in need. So many people think that it's a big drain on our society. A big drain is all of the money that the big bankers and wallstreet thiefs take from all of the hardworking people who are trying to plan for their futures making investments. Or how about the predatory lenders, medical scammers, drug companies, the wealthiest who hire attorneys to find every tax loophole and shelter. I don't mind my taxes assisting those in need. Many situations are temporary. And any of those who need assistance certainly aren't getting rich off of it. They are barely making it by.
