DiNallo, Rogers Talk About Overcoming Partisan Spats
Both Lori DiNallo and John Rogers discuss the value of debate, compromise and mediation
The Lake County chambers of commerce, including the Mentor Area Chamber, hosted a forum for the region's state and national legislative candidates last week at LaMalfa Centre.
Both candidates for the Ohio House's 60th district seat -- Republican Lori DiNallo and Democrat John Rogers -- attended the forum.
DiNallo and Rogers were asked how they would overcome partisan bickering.
In reply, both candidates talked about the importance of discussion, debate and compromise.
The representatives' 60th district is an open race without an incumbent because its current representative, Bob Hagan, now lives in the 58th district and will be running there.
The city of Mentor was split in two during the state's recent redistricting. Consequently, just Mentor residents from the city's fourth ward, as well as electors from Mentor-on-the-Lake, will vote in this race.
